General Questions About IV Therapy

What is IV therapy?
IV therapy is a treatment that delivers fluids, vitamins, and minerals directly into your bloodstream through a small IV line. Because it skips your digestive system, your body absorbs close to 100% of the nutrients right away. It’s the same method hospitals have used for decades, but now you can get it at your home, hotel, or office.
What is mobile IV therapy?
Mobile IV therapy means a licensed nurse comes to your location to give you your IV treatment. You don’t need to visit a clinic or sit in a waiting room. At Reset IV, our nurses come to your home, hotel room, office, or event with all the supplies needed.
How does IV therapy work?
A nurse places a small IV catheter into a vein in your arm. The IV is connected to a bag of saline solution mixed with vitamins, minerals, and optional medications. The solution flows directly into your bloodstream over about 35 to 45 minutes. Because it bypasses your stomach, the treatment works much faster than taking pills or drinking water.
What are the benefits of IV therapy?
IV therapy can help with hydration, energy, immune support, headache and migraine relief, hangover recovery, nausea, jet lag, athletic recovery, and overall wellness. Because nutrients go straight into your blood, you feel the effects quickly, often within minutes. Results can last for days, depending on the treatment.
How long does an IV therapy session take?
Most IV therapy sessions take between 35 and 45 minutes. Some treatments, like NAD+, may take longer. Your nurse handles all the setup and cleanup, so all you need to do is relax. Plan on about one hour from start to finish, including the time it takes the nurse to check your vitals and get set up.
How quickly will I feel the results?
Because IV therapy goes directly into your bloodstream, many people start to feel better within minutes. Most clients notice a difference before their session is even done. Depending on the treatment, the effects can last for several days.
How long do IV therapy results last?
Results vary depending on the treatment and your body. Many clients feel the benefits for 2 to 4 days after a session. Some treatments, like immune boost or NAD+, may provide longer-lasting support. Regular sessions can help maintain results over time.
Can I get IV therapy regularly?
Yes. Many of our clients use IV therapy as part of their regular wellness routine. Some book weekly or monthly sessions for hydration, immune support, or skin health. Others use it before or after big events, travel, or workouts. Our team can help you find the right schedule based on your goals.

What are your hours?
We are open 7 days a week, from 8 AM to 10 PM. You can book online anytime, and our team will confirm your appointment during business hours.
How quickly can a nurse get to me?
In most cases, a nurse can be at your location within 45 to 60 minutes of booking. Response times may vary depending on traffic and demand, but we pride ourselves on getting to you fast.
Do I need to go somewhere, or do you come to me?
We come to you. Reset IV is a fully mobile service. Our nurses travel to your home, hotel, office, or event, wherever you’re most comfortable. You don’t need to leave your couch.
Can I book IV therapy for a group or event?
Yes! We offer group and event IV therapy for bachelor and bachelorette parties, corporate events, weddings, and more. Contact us to learn about discounted group rates and availability.
Do I need to prepare for my appointment?
We recommend drinking some water and eating a light meal before your appointment. Wear something with short sleeves or sleeves you can roll up so the nurse can easily place the IV. That’s it, our nurse brings everything else.
Do I need a doctor’s prescription for IV therapy?
No, you do not need a prescription. IV therapy from Reset IV is an elective wellness service. However, a medical provider is on call during your treatment to approve the therapy and make recommendations based on your health information. You are always free to discuss IV therapy with your personal doctor as well.
Safety and Medical Information

Is IV therapy safe?
Yes. IV therapy is a widely used medical treatment administered in hospitals and clinics around the world. At Reset IV, all treatments are given by licensed registered nurses with real hospital experience. We use only high-quality, sterile, medical-grade equipment and follow strict safety protocols. A medical provider is on call to oversee every treatment.
Who administers the IV?
Every Reset IV treatment is administered by a licensed registered nurse (RN). Our nurses have hands-on experience in hospitals, emergency rooms, and clinical settings. We have one of the most selective hiring processes in the industry. We accept only about 4 to 5 nurses out of every 100 applicants.
Does IV therapy hurt?
Most people feel nothing more than a small pinch when the needle is inserted. Our nurses are highly experienced at placing IVs and use special catheters designed to reduce discomfort. If you’re nervous around needles, let your nurse know. They’ll make you as comfortable as possible.
Are there any side effects of IV therapy?
IV therapy is generally well tolerated. The most common side effect is mild bruising or soreness at the IV site, which usually goes away within a day. Some people may feel a cooling sensation as the fluids enter the bloodstream. Serious side effects are rare. Your nurse will take your vitals and review your health history before starting.
Is IV therapy safe during pregnancy?
We offer a prenatal IV therapy package designed specifically for expectant mothers. However, every pregnancy is different. We recommend discussing IV therapy with your OB/GYN before booking. Our medical team will also review your health information before starting any treatment.
What ingredients are in the IV?
Our IV solutions start with a base of normal saline (a sterile saltwater solution used in hospitals). Depending on the package you choose, additional ingredients may include vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, vitamin B12, magnesium, zinc, glutathione, NAD+, and optional medications for nausea or pain. All ingredients are medical-grade.
